This prestigious award acknowledges the International sales growth of PRI's intelligent systems and services for energy and utility revenue management. PRI successfully supplies markets across Asia, the Far East, the Middle East, Africa, Australasia and Europe. The Queen's Awards for Enterprise, that recognise the achievements of UK based businesses, are announced on the Queen's birthday, the 21st April, each year. PRI are particularly honoured that this award coincides with the Queen's 80th birthday on 21st April 2006. PRI employs a team of 47 with International sales teams based in the UK, Dubai, Australia and India. PRI product development teams are based in Winchester, Blackburn, Melbourne and India. PRI were the first company to develop intelligent processor based electricity meters used in billing and energy management systems, this has resulted in over 4 million PRI CALMU3TM technology based smart metering products being installed worldwide. PRI licensed its CALMU3TM technology for use in France, India and South Africa. By identifying key International metering markets and capitalising on its innovative products, that can be adapted to provide local market solutions, PRI has established itself as a leading International metering company. Babu Babel PRI Managing Director announced the award to PRI staff, on the Queen's birthday saying: "We have achieved this award through the hard work of our team, plus our successful strategies for international and domestic trade. Our company systems and high standards have enabled the team and business to meet the exacting requirements of this highly acclaimed award". The exceedingly proud Management and staff of PRI toasted the Queen on her 80th birthday as part of their celebrations.
